Club

Football development starts with the player. EFA connects purposeful coaching, individual goals and a supportive team environment so that every player can understand their progress and take their next step with confidence.

Meet Neil Connor

Founder & CEO · English Football Academy

Neil holds the UEFA B Licence and is currently studying towards the UEFA A Licence and Elite Youth Award.

His approach starts with the individual player: what they enjoy, what they need and how learning connects to the game. EFA’s planned programmes bring together technical, tactical, physical, psychological and social development, with clear goals and communication with families.

EFA is currently operated by Neil Connor, trading as English Football Academy. Programme delivery is still being planned; registration is closed.

Every player deserves a programme with purpose.

A connected approach

Our five-corner model brings together technical, tactical, physical, psychological and social development. Coaching decisions consider the player’s needs, their experience of the game and how they can contribute to a team.

A shared curriculum, individual development priorities and planned reviews help players and families understand what they are working towards. Creativity and individual attention sit within a consistent academy approach.

Progress that means something

Development is about more than results. We value growing confidence, better decisions, stronger relationships and the ability to apply learning in the game. Players are encouraged to reflect, ask questions and take an active part in their development.

Families are part of the journey

Clear expectations and regular communication help families support the player. Our programme information explains the purpose of training, the development pathway and what happens next.

Ask about EFA

For players: your voice matters

You should know what you are practising, feel able to ask questions and have time to try again. Your coach will help you choose a useful next step rather than judge you only by a match result.

After training, think about one thing you tried, one thing you learned and one question you want to ask. If you are worried or uncomfortable, tell a trusted adult. You do not have to solve a problem alone.
